What is standby pay?
Additional pay is provided for those employees and sessionals who are required to serve on standby assignments. When on standby, employees or sessionals must carry a paging unit and be available for call-in when required. Standby pay is as follows:
Facilities Management
Friday to Saturday (excludes stat holidays) – ¾ Hour per Day – Lead Hand Electrician Rate
Saturday & Sunday – 1 Hour per Day – Lead Hand Electrician Rate
Statutory Holidays – 1 ¼ Hours per Day – Lead Hand Electrician Rate

October 1st to March 31st (Each Calendar Year) – ½ Hour per Day – Area Operator Rate
April 1st to September 30th (Each Calendar Year) – 1 Hour per Day – Arena Operator Rate
